Launch of Commemorative Stamp 10 Years of Araripe GeoPark

On Tuesday, 09, the trainees of the Tutorial Education Program (PET) of the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) met with the GeoPark Communication Department Araripe and Regional University of Cariri (URCA) to present and request approval for the launch of the Commemorative Stamp 10 years of Araripe GeoPark.

 

Graphic design is a result of the partnership of PET / UFCA with GeoPark Araripe / URCA and was developed by students of the Course Design, Clayrton Montenegro, Majoring in Product Design by UFCA, Manager Corde R Cariri 2015 and Fellow Bunch PET Design - Model Office and member of the Management Committee of the Academic Center Product Design, and Lucélia Barbosa, Undergraduate student in Product Design by UFCA and fellow PET.

 

The commemorative stamp refers something characteristic of the Cariri features and very peculiar traits of the people who traditionally inhabited the territory of GePark Araripe. Made with dashed lines, straight lines and circular refers to the tribal culture of Kariris Indians and Art Leather, represented by the clothing created by Mr. Expedito Saddler. And the triangle, representing the tripod Araripe GeoPark: Geoeducação, Geoconservation and Geotourism. This is a very tribal design, so with these allusions to the identity of the Kariri people, culture and the axes governing the goal of a Geopark. In addition, the availability of color versions also refer to environmental education, Geoconservation and nature trails (green), the best preserved fossil of the world (ocher) and the commitment to the three themes (black). With these features, the Commemorative Seal of 10 years of Araripe GeoPark and its variations not only tells the story of his 

people, but also highlights the commitment of the Brazilian Geopark with conservation ideas, education and tourism.

 

According to the Araripe GeoPark Communications Team, the message that the Commemorative Stamp to convey is: GeoPark Araripe has the best preserved fossils in the world, has unique geological and paleontological values ​​and close relationship with their community.
 

II Meeting of Environmental Education

The Second Meeting of Environmental Education happened on 12 May. This is an internal event organized by the Environmental Education Sector Araripe GeoPark, with the responsible Professor Dr. Neuma Galvão, Sector Coordinator, and Lazaro Raniere, Environmental Educator.


The event aims to review the strengths and weaknesses of the sector's actions during the year and plan the next actions. The meeting will be put on the agenda, who will develop each action and how actions will be made. As in the case of the workshops: doll, cloth book, Soldier Araripe in biscuit, Replicas of Fossils and reuse bottles.
 

Exhibitions and visitor numbers also enter the approach, as well as verifying which are the partners who collaborate more with GeoPark Araripe, and probe the possibilities of other service providers that can become a partner.
 

In this perspective, the objective event improve the actions that the sector has to develop during the year, considering the pre-established labor demand.

"Roaming Poetics" Exposes Unpublished Works In The Territory of the Araripe GeoPark

A van and a lot of poetry involved in travel across Brazil, promoting independent authors ... The work is Guilherme Salgado initiative, poet and author who customized a van and decided to leave the country planting and harvesting poetry to come, this week, the municipalities of the territory of Araripe Geopark.

In a bold initiative, the subject writer intends to go from Bahia to Maranhão, crossing the road over five months. At each stop, or on the way, other artists add up and contribute to the art that fits them. Seeking to promote the culture, William proposes street cinema with discussions of the films presented, going to schools, public squares, flea market etc., is soirees, participates in open events, and at this rate, follows captivating the public and contributing to the construction of a better country. The public is diverse and varied: have children, young, adolescent, adult and elderly.
