Titled "Geographies of Ceará Cariri", the book was launched at the headquarters of Araripe GeoPark on the last day 17/05 and its organizers: Jorn Seemman, Simone Cardoso Ribeiro, both of the Department of Geosciences (DEGEO) URCA, and Rafael Celestino Soares , PhD in Geology from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Comporam the table the Executive Coordinator of GeoPark Araripe, Idalécio de Freitas, Professor Dr Maria Soares and Professor. Dr Marcelo Martins Moura-Fé, DEGEO-URCA teachers. the event also counted with the presence of teachers and students of the Geography course of the Regional University of Cariri / URCA, and engineers, employees and trainees of GeoPark Araripe. the work is presented as an important contribution to geographical studies in the Cariri region, wide possibilities for use by researchers from various fields of knowledge.

The government of the State of Ceará through the Secretariat of Cities, concluded last week the business plan for GeoPark Araripe, in order to promote sustainable tourism, with R $ 10 million grant, with funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). Are being completed various infrastructure projects and improvement of 9 geosites of Araripe GeoPark, for example, building kiosks, classrooms, multipurpose rooms, among others, aiming to better serve tourists, researchers, teachers and students.
SEMACGEO HAPPENS IN THE TERRITORY OF ARARIPE GEOPARK
Last week, between 23 and 25 May 2016, happened Geography Week in Regional University of Cariri / URCA, Campus Pimenta (Crato-CE) with organization of Geography Academic Center (CALIGEO). The event was attended by teachers and students from various municipalities in the region, as well as community participation. Titled: "Geography, teaching and research: where we are and where we go," the event offered space for reflection and proposals of themes and actions to geographers training at local and national level.
XIII WISE & SEEDS 2016 TAKES PLACE IN THE TERRITORY OF ARARIPE GEOPARK
The "XIII Week Biology (wise) & Environment Week (SEEDS) 2016," will take place at the Regional University of Cariri Campus Pimenta (Crato-CE), an event promoted by the Biology Academic Center (foreign exchange) - Department of Science Life on the theme: "Chapada Do Araripe: a Social and Environmental Issues", from 30/05 to 02/06. The XIII Wise & SEEDS 2016 aims to generate discussion and exchange of experiences that are relevant to vocational training and personnel in the socio-environmental context, stimulating the development of more aware and critical citizens as their function and necessary participation in society, seeking to promote knowledge professionals and students from related fields as Chapada do. The program includes lectures, round tables and mini-courses taught by professors from URCA and other institutions of the Cariri region, as well as presentations of works in poster form, oral and workshops.

Who attends the Plaza José Geraldo da Cruz, the Franciscans neighborhood in Juazeiro, know and to consume the products of the fair agroecological "Mother Nature". This is a Technology Incubator project Popular Enterprises and Solidarity, the Federal University of Cariri (ITEPS-UFCA) and runs from Monday to Friday. There are eleven stalls set up in the square and that offer the population more than 50 types of products free of pesticides. There including a limitation that can be sold. Every Marketer follows his fitness. Lettuce is the most popular item, but there you can find fruits like pitomba and macaúba. Working together is more profitable, strengthens the group and adds value to merchandise. Profit is individual, but the prices are tabulated and any change must be agreed by all. They are keen to show the customer the best product, even if it is in banking neighbor. It is so common to see a marketer telling the customer the product of another, is not having it in his tent, or simply to know that the bank next door has a better product.
