The Seminar "Cauldron of the Desert Holy Cross" will take place from 12th to 14th April and will feature the official opening lecture of Professor Dr. Arthur Augustine Abreu e Sá, Arouca Geopark (Portugal) and Coordinator of the Cátedra Program and representative UNESCO.
In his trip to Brazil, Dr. Arthur Sá also gave a lecture aimed at the business will iuá-Hotel (Juazeiro do Norte/CE), from 17.30, on the 11th, under the theme: "Geoparks, Sustainable Regional Development Style and Healthy Life ".
The seminar is being promoted by the Pro Extension Rectory by Universidade Regional do Cariri( PROEX/URCA )

In an internal meeting with the Communication Sector Coordinator of Araripe Geopark, Giane Taeko, Sarah Menezes, Press Officer of the Regional University of Cariri and Manoel Deisson Xenophon, collaborator Araripe Geopark and professor at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA) was determined to new logo creation 10 years of Araripe Geopark and 30 years of the Regional University of Cariri - URCA for the disclosures to be made in social networks and used in the production of banners, brochures posters that celebrated moment.

Unification of Sectors of URCA Press Offices and Communication Geopark Araripe
On the morning of April 4 of this it became official the union of the Press Office of the Regional University of Cariri (URCA) and the Communication Sector of Araripe Geopark. The purpose of this action is to boost institutional news of the University and the Araripe Geopark, as an extension of it.
With unification, journalist URCA, Sarah Menezes, joined Team bone Araripe Geopark news.
With the integration of the sectors, the trainees go on to work in both URCA as the Geopark Araripe headquarters, every other day. The activities to be carried out also undergo review and approval of the Sector Coordinator Giane Taeko and journalist Sarah Menezes.

The Environmental Education Sector Geopark Araripe held on Thursday, April 07, World Health Day, the Geopark project in the Community, in the town of Sunrise Valley, municipality of Crato-CE. The project proposal is to link people with the territory of the Geopark Araripe and develop educational and quality of life activities. Among the activities were featured workshops, games and activities, skin cleansing with clay and natural oil, as well as guidance on healthy eating.
During the day we were met more than 80 people from the community.

The selection for Fellows Scientific Initiation Araripe Geopark Project, sponsored by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research of the Regional University of Cariri (PRPGP / URCA) took place on the morning of April 5, 2016, from 08h to 11:30 am with the realization mixed interviews related to the Araripe Geopark and and specific issues of Visual Arts courses, Life Sciences, Economics, Social Sciences, Physical Education, History, Geography, Literature and Pedagogy.
The selected students will develop research with their respective advisers, involving the communities surrounding the geosites Hill Garden and Pontal de Santa Cruz. The pilot project inaugurates a time of return with scientific data for both the academic community and to the general population of transdisciplinary way.
