On the last 25th, a meeting took place in the auditorium of the Araripe GeoPark headquarters between the Tourism Development Council - CONDETUR and the Secretariats of Tourism and Development of some cities in the Cariri region. The project "Sustainable Tourism in GeoPark Araripe" prepared by SEBRAE and detailed by the consultant Édio Callou was presented at the occasion.

Representatives from the Tourism and Development Secretariats of Crato, Juazeiro do Norte, Barbalha, Missão Velha and Nova Olinda, consultants from SEBRAE and CONDETUR, the Association of Bars and Restaurants (ABRASEL), the Council of Store Managers (CDL - Juazeiro) The Regional University of Cariri (URCA) and the Araripe GeoPark.

The main action of the project is to improve the competitiveness of small businesses in the region to improve the attraction and receptivity of tourists.

GeoPark Araripe was present at the 1st International Congress of Criminal Law "Criminal Law in addition to the codes: challenges and perspectives", which took place at the Cariri Convention Center, which took place from April 26th to April 29th. Members of GeoPark Araripe organized an exhibition of the institution and the municipalities in which GeoPark is present through the nine geosites during the three days of participation in the event, which was a success.

The event was promoted by the Regional University of Cariri - URCA, in partnership with the Brazilian Bar Association - subsection of Ceará and with the Superior School of Advocacy. Its main theme was "Beyond the Codes: Challenges and Perspectives". It was debated the vision of the science of Law that goes beyond mere written law, without departing from the legality, principle of a Democracy.

We received a visit of the Geologist Prof. PhD Renato Pimenta de Azevedo from Chapada Diamantina, to meet the Araripe Geopark.

The visit was to comprehend the institutional functioning to develop a Geopark project for the Region of Sincorá Saw, in Bahia. It was shared information over the administrative structure, functional organization chart, strategic planning and management plan, as well as the history of the Araripe GeoPark and some of the numbers over the 10 years of its existence.

The 1st Seminar of Seridó Geopark that was held at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, on the campus of Natal, on May 12th, and had several speakers, among them the Executive Director of GeoPark Araripe, Prof. PhD Marcelo Moura Fé, who spoke about the 10 years of the Araripe GeoPark, together with Prof. PhD Marcos Antonio Leite (Seridó Geopark/ UFRN) and Profa. PhD. Kátia Leite Mansur (Costões and Lagunas Geopark/ UFRJ) at a Round Table entitled "Geoparks in Brazil: from the Project to Sustenance".

Also participating in the seminar was the Executive Secretary of GeoPark Araripe, Lazaro Ranieri de Macedo and the Education Sector Coordinator of GeoPark Araripe, Prof. PhD. Maria Neuma Galvão, where they talked about the activities and projects of education carried out in the institution.

The Partnership Agreement was signed by the Dean of the Regional University of Cariri (URCA), José Patrício Melo, the Executive Director of GeoPark Araripe, Marcelo Moura Fé and the representative of the Art Bar Resistance, Raul Nunes da Silva.

The partnership was held for the opportunity to develop joint actions for the sustainable regional development and promotion of sustainable tourism and involving the promotion of the environment, geoconservation, geotourism, environmental education and geoeducation.
