Minicourse Guides Group on Personal Financial Organization

Presented by Pedro Rebouças, professor of Regional University of Cariri (URCA) and Araripe UNESCO Global Geopark (AGG – UNESCO) collaborator, on November 13, the mini-course guided university employees and Geopark trainees on how to use finances more consciously, presenting ways to save money, how to cure debts and how to invest safely.

The AGM trainee, Patrícia Soares, said that the mini-course was very good for having acquired knowledge that will help in the family income. The mini-course "Personal Budget Organization" aimed to help promote quality of life and show the benefits of the correct use of finances. More than 70 people have already benefited, including the communities of the municipalities of Crato, Santana do Cariri and Missão Velha.

Music Festival Moves Missão Velha

For the second year, followed with the support of Araripe UNESCO Global Geopark (AGG-UNESCO), the "Missão Velha Regional Music Festival - Maestro Gilvan Duarte" was held on November 14 with the participation of 16 musicians from  Cariri.

The event is already part of the cultural calendar of the municipality and increasingly reveals the talent of the musicians of Cariri. Sanderley Coelho (Barro), second, Davi Duarte Martins (Juazeiro do Norte) and third, Sávio Menezes (Barbalha) were revealed after a difficult dispute.

​

As jurors were maestro Soares, from Barbalha, professor Giane Taeko (AGG-UNESCO / URCA), composer Conde Macêlha, professor Edmilson Santos from Missão Velha and Gledson Barros, lead singer of Forró Do Movimento. After the dispute, the awards and trophies and  dancing ceremony took place with Los Manos and Danilo Multivozes. The festival was supported by the City Hall and the Secretariat of Communication, Science and Technology of Missão Velha, by Regional University of Cariri - URCA and sponsored by some sectors of society. The production and organization of the event was the responsibility of the poet and composer Markinhos Duarte.

Inaugurated Another Organic Museum, The Workshop of Master Françuli

 

On November 15, with the support of Araripe Global Geopark UNESCO (AGG-UNESCO), the Museum of the Master Françuli, in Potengi-Ce, was inaugurated. This is the second to be inaugurated and is part of the Organic Museums Project of the Masters of Traditional Culture of Cariri, carried out by Social Service of Commerce (SESC) in partnership with Casa Grande Foundation. The project has as one of its objectives the recognition and strengthening of traditional identities of cultural roots that can identify the historical memory of Cariri people and culture.

Francisco Dias de Oliveira, 76, Master Françuli, is an important cultural representation of this municipality. Different from the leather Reisados jokes of Mestre Antônio Luiz's Caretas - Master of Culture honored by the First Organic Museum of the SESC's Organic Museums project - Mestre Françuli's craft consists of miniature creations of aircraft, rockets and flying discs with a small iron blade, called flandre.

The inauguration was welcomed with the musical performances of the band Cabaçal Santo Antônio and the Group of Forró Pé de Serra na Base da Chinela, in addition to a number of popular visits of the city, representatives of culture of the region also counting on the presence of the mayor of this municipality, Maria Alizandra Gomes.

Araripe Geopark Present at The Second Edition of The Knowledge Fair

Araripe Global Geopark UNESCO (AGG-UNESCO) was present at the second edition of the Knowledge, Science, Technology, Innovation and Business Fair that took place from November 21 to 24 at the Ceará Event Center in Fortaleza. The theme of the fair was "Science for Reducing Inequalities".

​

AGG-UNESCO took the exhibition "Giants of Cariri: a flight through paleoart", with representations of pterosaurs made in partnership with Shanadú Ateliê School and with a fossil exhibition coordinated by the Laboratory of Paleontology of the Regional University of Cariri (URCA).

​

For four days the fair brought together academy, business, government and the community to show how science and technology can help reduce inequality. More than 260 exhibitors presented technological solutions to improve key areas for society such as health, education, security, cities, agriculture, water resources, renewable energies, inclusion and diversity.

​

The event was attended by the Rector of URCA and Executive Coordinator of Araripe Global Geopark UNESCO, José Patrício Pereira Melo, who was present at the opening ceremony representing the University and Araripe Global Geopark UNESCO.
